SIN beam is similar in concept to a steel plate girder in that it is made up of flat plate flanges and a web.

The only difference is that rather than a flat plate web, SIN beam uses a corrugated web, resulting in a light and efficiently manufactured steel beam with higher load capacity to weight ratio due to the sinusoidal shape.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD

Corrugated web beams have been internationally applied in structural steel engineering and construction for over 40 years, and to date, Steelcon has more than 17 million square feet of SIN beam projects in our portfolio.

The optimal application for SIN beam is as an alternate to a rolled or welded wide flange shape, or a joist or joist girder section. SIN beam provides economical solutions for larger spans and high load-bearing capacity with minimum production time.

REDUCING RISK
LOWERING COST
MAXIMIZING VALUE

The material and time losses caused in conventional welding process are eliminated by means of a computer assisted, fully automatic production line, resulting in shorter delivery timelines. And, because Steelcon uses readily available materials to fabricate SIN beams (plates and coils), risk is further reduced in case there are design changes after the steel is ordered.

COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

Each project has its own set of unique circumstances, requiring a custom approach. With a view to maximizing value for lowest cost, Steelcon applies our unique knowledge of steel construction and current market conditions to make suggestions and evaluate alternatives.
